TUSK Music are delighted to announce the birth of TUSK Festival.
TUSK Festival will take place in Newcastle upon Tyne over the weekend of October 7-9 and feature an unrivalled line-up of unclassifiable international artists. Across 3 days and 2 of the city’s best loved music venues, TUSK Festival will feature numerous coups and more than a few firsts: confirmed acts include extremely rare live appearances by wild improvising guitar shredder and ex-Harry Pussy member Bill Orcutt; the alter ego of Alan Bishop of Sun City Girls and Sublime Frequencies, Alvarius B; French dream pop/drone duo Natural Snow Buildings; Oregon’s post-kosmische synth voyager Pulse Emitter; the glazed country-blues extrapolations of MC Taylor’s Hiss Golden Messenger project; and the psychedelic doom monolith that is Bong.
There’s still a whole list of surprises up the organisers’ sleeves too, and during the 3 days of the festival, held at the Cluny and Star & Shadow venues, there will also be talks and social occasions that make this weekend unmissable for anyone in love with adventurous music, be it vinyl addicts, artists, producers, labels or promoters.
A limited number of Early Bird weekend passes will go on sale from this coming Monday for the bargain price of £25. Shortly afterwards, weekend and day tickets will go on sale – and with more news of the stellar line-up to follow soon, we expect tickets to sell fast, so don’t miss out!
